Outlook is one of the email accounts Filed connects to. Once your Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com account is linked, you can ask Filed Chat to pull up recent client emails and summarize the ones that need attention, or set up a Routine that checks your inbox on a schedule. Client requests, deadlines, and open questions stop hiding in your mailbox.

You connect through a standard Microsoft sign-in window, so no password is ever entered into Filed, and the connection stays active without re-authorizing. Filed reads only what the connected account can see. When Write access is enabled, it can also send approved emails from your account, and anything sent lands in your Sent Items folder automatically.

How it works
  • Search and list messages across your Outlook folders
  • Read full emails, including recipients and attachment details
  • Send approved emails from your account when Write access is on
  • Automate inbox checks with scheduled Routines

Questions

The questions firms ask us

Through Microsoft's own sign-in window using OAuth2. No password is entered into Filed, and the connection refreshes itself in the background.

Only when Write access is enabled on the connection, and the workflow is built for supervised follow-up. Sent messages are saved to your Sent Items folder automatically.

Your IT administrator can approve Filed in the Azure AD app consent settings. If that is not an option, the IMAP Email integration works without Azure AD consent.
