OneDrive is one of the document sources Filed connects to. Ask Filed Chat to find a client's OneDrive folder and summarize the source documents inside, or set up a Routine to do that work on a schedule. Filed sees the files the connected Microsoft account owns or has been shared on.
Write access is a separate switch. When your firm turns it on, Filed can create folders and upload or move approved documents where the connected account already has permission. Keep it off and the connection stays read-only.
How it works
- Find and read client documents
- Search and browse the folders the connected account can see
- Create folders and upload approved files with write access
- Works within your existing OneDrive permissions
Ask Filed, in your own words.
Starting points for this connection. Swap the bracketed details for your client and your dates.
Find the OneDrive folder for [client name] and list the most recent source documents.
Summarize the tax documents in [folder name] and flag anything that appears missing.
With write access enabled, create an approved folder structure for [client name] and upload [file name].
The questions firms ask us
You sign in with a Microsoft account and approve the consent screen. Filed can then read the files that account owns or has been shared on.
Only when your firm enables write access on the connection. Read access is always on, and write can stay off for read-only work.
Use Filed's SharePoint connection for team document libraries. OneDrive covers the connected user's own files and items shared with them.
